External Morphology Characteristics
The upper side of the wings is red in color with distinctive rounded spots in which there is a bluish color. The underside of the wings is dark. Additionally, there is a tip in the marginal zone of each wing.
Behavior
It often rests on the ground. Sometimes it migrates locally.

It is common in urban parks, flower gardens, edges of woodland, meadows all the way to higher mountains. Elevations: 0-1500m.
