External Morphology Characteristics

The upper side of wings is brown. On the underside of the hindwing there are yellow spots edged in bold by dark brown border.

Behavior

Imago feeds with the nectar of meadow flowers. It has a characteristic up-and-down flight.

Caterpillar Host Plants

Grasses (family Poaceae).

Habitat

More common in damp habitats like meadows in valleys near streams. Elevations: 100-900m.
