External Morphology Characteristics
The upper side of the wings is brown. There are dark spots in the apex and S2 zone of the forewing. Both spots are smaller in males. Compared to the similar species Hyponephele lupina, a slightly brighter band is noticeable in the postdiscal zone of the underside of the hindwing.
Behavior
When lands, it keeps wings closed.

Warm and dry grassland on the slopes and rocky terrains. Elevations: 0-1600m.
