External Morphology Characteristics
The upper side of the wings has a dark pattern with orange color. On the upper side of the hindwing, in the postdiscal zone there is a series of dark spots. In the postdiscal zone of the underside of hindwing there is a series of orange spots with black dots in the center. In the discal zone there is a wider white stripe. In the marginal zone there are white lunules with a series of triangular dark spots.
Behavior
Imago feeds with nectar of various flowers.

Plantago and Veronica species.
Habitat
Nutrient-poor grasslands. Edges of woodlands and bushes. Elevations: 0-1400m.
