External Morphology Characteristics

In the margin of the forewing there are prominent fringes. In males, the upper side of both wings is blue. In females, the upper side is darker with a bit bluish basal and discal zones. On the underside of hindwing in submarginal zone, there is a series of orange spots. Orange spots are missing on the forewing.

Behavior

Imago feeds with nectar of various flowers. It is common on moist soil.

Family Lamiaceae.

Habitat

Dry and hot terrains. Edges of scrubland. Elevations: 0-1300m.
