External Morphology Characteristics
There is a tail on the hindwing. The upper side of both wings is brown. In females, there are wide orange spots on the upper side of the forewing. ID characteristics of lateral view of Satyrium spini, Satyrium acaciae and Satyrium ilicis are here.
When not flying it keeps its wings closed. Imago feeds with various flowers.
