External Morphology Characteristics
There is a tail on the hindwing. The upper side of both wings is brown in color. On the underside of the hindwing there is a large bluish spot in S1 zone. The distinctive characteristics of lateral view with closed wings of S. spini, S. acaciae, S. ilicis, S. w-album and S. pruni are here.
Behavior
When not flying it keeps its wings closed. Imago feeds with various flowers.

Habitat
Dry and warm grassland with bushes at the edges of woodlands. Elevations: 0-1500m.
