External Morphology Characteristics

In males, the upper side of both wings is blue with a gradual dark border on the forewing. In females, the upper side of both wings is brown in color with a bit of bluish in the basal zone. The underside of both wings is greyish-brown in males and brown in females. The series of dark spots are more prominent on the forewing. There is a distinctive jagged edge in S1-S3 zones of the hindwing.

Behavior

Imago feeds with nectar of various flowers.

Caterpillar Host Plants

Families Fabaceae and Lamiaceae.

Habitat

Flower meadows along the edges of the woodland and bushes. Elevations: 0-1400m.
