External Morphology Characteristics
The upper side of wings is orange in color with dark pattern. Along the postdiscal zone there is a series of rounded dark spots. On the underside of the hindwing, the basal zone contains orange spots, while the cell has a black spot. In postdiscal zone there is a series of black spots. Additionally, in the submarginal zone there is a series of triangular white spots.
Behavior
Imago feeds with nectar of various flowers.

Family Violaceae.
Habitat
Overgrown meadows along the edges of the woodland. Elevations: 0-600m.
Remark
The upper side of wings is similar to Boloria dia and Boloria euphrosyne.
