External Morphology Characteristics
The upper side of both wings is dark with a reddish tone. The wide white band stretch along the edge in marginal zone. In submarginal zone there is a series of blue spots. The underside of both wings is dark brown with a bright and wide band along the marginal zone.
Behavior
It is local migrant. In late winter and spring, it can be found in various habitats exposed to the warm sun. Sometimes it feeds on juices on the ground, and very rarely on the nectar of flowers.

Woodlands clearances and roads. Elevations: 0-1500m.
