External Morphology Characteristics
The upper side of the wings is brown with spots surrounded by orange color. The small spot in S1 zone of the forewing and brownish gray antennal tip are distinctive in most individuals. In similar Erebia oeme antennal tip is dark and spot in S1 zone is missing.
Behavior
Imago feeds with nectar of various flowers.

Habitat
Meadows with woods. Elevations: 300-1500m.
