External Morphology Characteristics

There is a short tail in S2 zone. In males, the upper side of the wings is blue in color with a wide dark border. In females, the upper side of the wings is dark brown in color with a bit bluish forewing. The underside of the wings is greyish brown in color. Moreover, there is a white-brown streak along both wings. Next to the tail there is an orange spot with a small black dot in the center.

Behavior

Rarely feeds on the nectar of flowers. It often rests on trees and tall bushes with closed wings.

Edges of woodland. Elevations: 0-1300m.
