External Morphology Characteristics

In males, the upper side of the wings is blue with a thin and dark border on the forewing. In females, the dark upper side of the wings has a bluish glare in the basal zone. The underside of the wings is yellowish-brown in color and it is a bit more saturated in females. On the hindwing there is a long tail. At the margin, near the tail, there are two dark spots with a silver edge.

Behavior

Is capable of migrating on a long distances.

Habitat

Stays on flowering vegetation from gardens to meadows. It is also common on moist soil. Elevations: 0-1500m.
