External Morphology Characteristics
The upper side of the forewing is brown with a black spot in the apex. On the upper side of the hindwing there is a visible transition between brighter postdiscal zone and darker discal and basal zones. In the similar species Lasiommata maera, there is no such transition. The hindwing is brown with a series of black spots. Moreover, there is a series of spots on the underside of the hindwing. The spots in zones S2, S3 and S6 are a bit larger.
Behavior
It often rests on stones and the ground.

Family Poaceae.
Habitat
Grassland on the slopes and rocky terrains. Elevations: >1300m.
